Ventura's have muscles

Juan is teaching the boys to flex their muscles. Since Alex refuses to eat anything but meat, and processed gross food, he has none! And since Pablo insists on eating everything-he has chubby arms! But still very cute!

We love the boys!

We picked up Juan's boys Friday of last week. After a 3 week stent of not seeing them because their Mom was mad at us, we finally got them! We were so excited we decided to just keep them until after Christmas. After a minor argument with their Mom, she agreed! We are so excited to have them with us, and love their little spirits. Each time we take them, we have to spend some time undoing all of the negative things their Mom has allowed, and taught. But after 5 days, we are ok, and the boys are back to normal. We are excited for Christmas! The boys have never experienced Santa, so their white step-mama is teaching them all the Santa things! We will get to spend time with the cousins, and my sister and brother in law for the holidays, so that will be fun! The cousins can help Alex and Pablo understand how this Christmas bit really works!

We are bloggers now!

Well...after many requests, the Ventura's are finally bloggers! I used to be a myspacer, but have no switched over!
Life for us is good! Juan and I are both working in Salt Lake, and still commuting from Ogden. We are still waiting for the perfect house to jump out for us to buy! So far, no luck! We are being patient, and know that in due time we'll find the right house and we'll buy it!
Alex (5) is in kindergarten, and pretty much loves his life! He went to school pretty behind because of his funny Mom, but he is catching up extremely well. He is writing his own name, and other peoples names. He is recognizing letters, and writes them, and thank the maker, can even sing the ABC's correctly! I thought this day would never come....
Pablo (2 1/2) is our typically little Mexican. He is short and fat, and cute as can be! He is starting to show actual signs of talking, and we are all extremely excited! He is a bit behind in talking because he is learning both English and Spanish. He is doing really well, and coming right along. I keep hoping he'll ask to use the potty, but no signs of potty talk yet!
