Sealing

Juan and I have been married just shy of 4 years. Have things always been easy? Nope...not by a long shot! But, as I look back I think we needed to go through some of the really hard things we did to make it to where we are!
On August 14th, 2010 Juan and I were sealed in the Bountiful Temple. It was the most amazing experience. We were able to have our little Emerson sealed with us also. The temple President sealed us and was an amazing man. He gave us both a lot of advice on being parents, and also being a couple. When the time came to bring in our sweet Emerson to seal him to us, the President said there was a miracle in the temple that day and that there was an angel in the temple-Emerson. There are not words to describe the emotions that overcame both Juan and I when they brought in my sweet son. He was dressed in white just like Juan and I. I just held him and sobbed. I knew at the moment that Heavenly Father had entrusted me with this sweet spirit and I was doing what I was always supposed to do-make our family eternal. Emerson was truly an angel during the sealing. He was calm and peaceful as the sealer spoke briefly. And when we picked him up from the temple nursery he kissed both of the workers on the cheek. He is the most amazing little boy. I couldn't have asked for a sweeter baby!
After the sealing, we had a fabulous open house. My mom worked and worked and put together a beautiful party! I was so lucky she was so willing to put on a party after the fact! Usually when you elope you miss that opportunity-but my Mom was more than willing to celebrate for/with
us!
We have so many people to be grateful for! So many people have been our biggest supporters through the hardest of times!
