Shortly after our initial phone converstation, Juan called me to tell me he had told his step dad and everyone in his office about our big news! I told him I had told everyone too! So much for not telling anyone yet! hahaha
Just for the record-baby is the size of a sesame seed at this point and Juan calls it Apple Seed.

For follow up
Holy crap holy crap!
So, Juan and I have been tossing around the idea of having a baby for the last 9 months. We have been trying, and nothing has been happening! About 2 months ago, I went and saw a nutritionist. She told me since having my galbladder out 2 years ago, it was most likely making my thyroid not function right and causing me to have issues getting pregnant. I started taking a really low dosage of thyroid medication.
Well, about 2 weeks ago I started to start feeling pretty hungry. I brushed it off as pre-period eating. Then some other symptoms came on...and no period in sight. After some convincing, I took a pregnancy test at work. I called Juan from the bathroom and made sure he was sitting down. I told him I thought I was pregnant because I was in the bathroom, had taken a test, and it was positive! He said holy crap holy crap and do not tell anyone! So I hung up the phone and ran in to my office. I shut the door to my office, and my face was bright red. The girl I share with said um..are you ok. I said I need to tell you something. She said you're pregnant aren't you!!!!!! I pulled out the stick I had just pee'd on and showed her! She jumped up and down and told me to call the dr. ASAP!!
I could barely pick up the phone because I was freaking out! I eventually got a dr. appointment made (not for 3 weeks though!!!! Craptastic!!) The dr's office told me based on my last period I was 5 weeks (5 1/2 weeks now)
I then proceeded to call my sisters, mom, dad, and sent out a text to my close friends. Holy crap holy crap!
I can't believe it! We are so excited for what is to come! Our little family is growing, and we are nervous but so excited!

I got a fancy surprise!
Juan's Aunt gave me diamond ring!! Mexican culture is when a family member gets married, the boys family pays for everything. So, his one aunt was in charge of the rings! So-Juan's Mom let me have it on Sunday! It's pretty-I want a big big one because I'm a diva like that-but for now I sure do like it!
Juan's family loves me-I think I am the favorite daughter for sure! Juan's Mom told me on Mothers Day that she loves me so much becaue I am a good mom to Alex and Pablo and that I take such good care of her son. (In Spanish of course-I translated it for you all!) It made me feel good! Sometimes when I think I am quite possible the worst step mom ever-I am reminded that maybe I'm not too bad! Being a Mom is hard work-but it's worth it! I hope one day the boys will grow up and say I was a really mean Mom who made them turn into great men. Cross your fingers!!

American Idol
This morning I stopped at the local grocery store on my way to work. There happens to be a small cafe in this grocery store. As I was leaving, I passed by the cafe and there were 4-5 OLD men sitting at the table sipping on their coffee. I could overhear them talking, so I started to walk slower. I overheard this.
Old man " Yea, that David really needs to show more emotion--he is to karoke like."
These old men were discussing American IDOL! I almost laughed, so I sped up my pace and walked out to my car with a giant grin! I bet those geezers will be at Murray High School today in hopes of meeting their IDOL!

Oh, the joys of kids!
Ok so my sister, Maranda, called me the other day. She has 3 boys, the oldest is 7. He is extremely smart and not in the slightest funny ever. She recapped a conversation her and the 7 year old son had had the night before. She prefaced it with “When my kids ask me about uncomfortable topics it’s always my goal to not act uncomfortable so they won’t feel weird talking to me.” I knew this was going to be good!
They were watching TV together, and a show came on that had a little girl with a training bra. My nephew, Riley, was confused and the conversation went as follows:
Riley: Mom, what is a training Bra?
Maranda: Well, it’s the first bra a little girl gets.
Riley: Oh well, did you have a training bra?
Maranda: Yes, my first bra was a training bra.
Riley: Oh….hmm…well what is a bra for?
Maranda: Well, it’s to support a girls boobs.
Riley: (As he lifts up his shirt to demonstrate) Boys don’t need bra’s because their boobs don’t stick out like CRAZY ANIMALS.
SILENCE
Riley: No seriously Mom, your boobs stick out like CRAZY ANIMALS.
My sister burst into laughter shortly after, as Riley kept a completely puzzled look on his face. My sister thought maybe he’d say balls, or balloons—but crazy animals was far beyond what she'd expected!
Oh the joy of kids!
